What are herbariums?
Creative up cycling
A modern dried flower herbarium is an updated version of the traditional herbarium. While the core concept remains the same-preserving dried plant specimens dried flower herbariums can also serve as decorative elements in our homes. The preserved flowers can be bottled or displayed in various ways to add a natural and artist touch to your living space.
In addition to a dried flower herbarium another fascinating type is the Japanese herbarium. this is also known as ” kusamonogatari” combines the practice of traditional herbarium preservation with the art of arranging and displaying plants in a visually way. The Japanese herbarium follows the concept of wabi-sabi, which embraces the beauty of imperfection and appreciates the transient nature of life
